Snapchat announced new targeting options for its Snap Ads platform. In addition to targeting users with age, gender, and location, you can now target via interests in lifestyle categories, “Lookalike” audiences, and Snap Audience Match.
Snap Audience Match allows brands to anonymously match data from their existing lists of email addresses and mobile IDs with Snapchat’s trove of user data. Snapchat has assured that no personally identifiable data can be used in ad campaigns. But Audience Match is an extremely valuable and powerful feature.
Lookalike audiences, similar to Facebook, allows advertisers to target Snapchat users with similar characteristics to their existing customers and fans. Another fantastic feature.
Utilizing Snapchat Lifestyle Categories enables companies to target ads to users who view certain types of videos, such as fashion, sports, gaming, etc.
